Privacy Policy
Tin Coffins · Last updated 3 October 2026
Tin Coffins is a single-player game for Windows, macOS and Linux, distributed on Steam. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no leaderboards, no chat, no advertising, and no analytics. We — the developer — do not collect, receive, or store any personal information about you.
What stays on your device
- Your saves and settings. Campaign progress, unlocks and options are written to the game's own storage on your computer. They are never uploaded to us. If you use Steam Cloud, your saves are copied to your Steam account under Valve's privacy policy, not ours.
On Steam
The game contains no advertising and no advertising SDK, and sends nothing to us.
- Steam itself. You buy, install and launch the game through Steam, which Valve operates under its own privacy policy. The game does not read your Steam profile, friends list or activity. Valve gives us sales and usage reports in aggregate — how many copies sold in a country, for example — never who you are.
- Steam achievements. When you earn one of the game's achievements, the game tells the Steam client, which records it on your Steam account and shows it where Steam shows achievements, such as your profile. The only thing the game asks Steam in return is which of its own achievements you already have. Achievements are held by Valve, not by us; Steam's privacy settings decide who can see them.
- Steam Cloud. If Steam Cloud is on for the game in your Steam client, Steam copies your saves to your Steam account so they are there on your other computers. That copy is held by Valve, not by us, and you can turn it off in the game's Properties in Steam.
Your choices
- Remove everything. Uninstalling from Steam removes the game but leaves your saves in place in case you come back; deleting the game's save folder removes them.
Children
Tin Coffins is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. It is a war game with violent themes, written for older players.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to show you, correct, or delete. Requests concerning data held by Steam should be directed to Valve. If you are unsure where to start, write to us at the address below and we will point you at the right place.
Changes to this policy
If the game's data practices change — most likely because a new feature needs something the current version does not — this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the game's release notes.
